Robert Dinwiddie Grigg III(Sr) 
Robert Dinwiddie Grigg was born in 1872 in Petersburg, VA.1 Robert Dinwiddie Grigg's father was Robert Dinwiddie Grigg and his mother was Frances Prudence Archer. His paternal grandparents were Dinwiddie Grigg and Clara Smith. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Hartman Harrison, Scott, Ernest, Roy, Lucy May, Clara and Louisa. He died at the age of 64 on April 6th, 1936.1 General Notes

Was born in Petersburg, VA and later went to Barnsville, GA with his parents. He was apprenticed to a druggist in Savannah around 1888. It is said that he became an excellent pharmacist. He was killed in a tornado with six members of his family in Gainsville, Hall County, GA on April 6, 1936
