Gertie Huffstetler 
Gertie was born on September 30th, 1915 in Little Mountain, SC.1 Gertie's father was Adgy L. Huffstetler and her mother was Estelle Mayer. Her paternal grandparents were William Huffstetler and Catherine Shealy; her maternal grandparents were Jacob William (Will) Mayer and Mary Ella (Mallie) Sease. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Robert Elonzo, Gerald, James Milford, Alvin, Carroll, K.C., Loraine and Vera. She died at the age of 83 on August 8th, 1999. She was buried on August 10th, 1999 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chapin, SC.1 1 General Notes

GERTIE LAKE
Little Mountain - Services for Gertie Huffstetler Lake, 83, formerly of
1185 Lake Road, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran
Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:00
tonight at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lake, widow of W. Floyd Lake, died Sunday. Born in Little Mountain,
she was a daughter of the late Adgy Leroy and Estelle Mayer Huffstetler.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she was a member of
the Alpha Circle of the WELCA.
Surviving are her son, Donie Lake of Little Mountain; daughter, Peggy
McAlister of Little Mountain; two sisters, Loraine Stoudenmire of Chapin,
Vera Puckett of lexington; brothers, Alvin Huffstetler of Chapin, K.C.
Huffstetler of Elloree; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
