Lurlean was born on July 23rd, 1920.1 Lurlean's father was Crenshaw Burrow Halfacre and her mother was Essie Olivia Wilson. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Halfacre and Ann M. Sease. She had a brother and a sister, named Grady Lee and Marian Olivia. She was the youngest of the three children.-
