Louis I The Fair was born in August 0778.1 Louis I The Fair's father was Charlemagne King Of France and his mother was Hildegarde Of Swabia, Countess Of Vinzgau. His paternal grandparents were Pepin The Short King Of The Franks and Bertha Of Laon, Countess Of Laon; his maternal grandparents were Gerold Count In The Anglachau and Emma. He had a brother and two sisters, named Karlman (Pepin), Bertha and Bertha. He died in Near Mainz.1 General Notes
