Roger de Montgomery III was born in 1054 in of Montgomery, Montgomeryshire, Wales.1 Roger de Montgomery III's father was Roger de Montgomery II Earl of Arundel and his mother was Mabel Talvas. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomerie Vct of Heimois and Joscelina de Torfulus; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume II Talvas Ct of Alençon-Bellême and Hildeburg (de Alençon). He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert de Alençon, Arnulf, Matilda and Sibyl. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 69 in 1123 in Charroux, France.1 General Notes
