Chrissie was born about 1942 in Newberry, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Chrissie's father was David Cornelius Counts and her mother was Annie Ernestine Shealy. Her maternal grandparents were James Alexander Shealy and Annie Sarah Meetze. She had a brother and a sister, named Living and Living. She died on February 19th, 2000 in Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, SC. She was buried on February 21st, 2000 in Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes

Chrissie Koon
Newberry - Services for Chrissie C. Koon, 57, of 1127 Mt. Bethel Gaarmany
Road, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of
Prosperity. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family is at
her residence and will receive friends at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home
7-8:30 tonight. The funeral home is in charge.
Mrs. Koon died Saturday, February 19, 2000 at Palmetto Richland Memorial
Hospital. Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of Mrs. Ernestine Shealy
Counts and the late David E. Counts. She was a former employee of Faith
Christian School in Laurens and a member of First Baptist Church of
Prosperity where she was a Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are her husband, Carroll L. Koon, of the home; her mother of
Newberry; son, Brent A. Koon of Laurens; daughters, Kristi K. Sprowls of
Greenville, Kandi K. Werts of Prosperity, Tracy K. Williamson of Laurens,
Leighann K. Hendrix of Newberry; sister, Vendy C. Bishop of Myrtle Beach;
brother, Shealy Counts of Newberry, 14 grandchildren.
