William III was born in 0969.1 William III's father was William II Count Of Poitou, Duke Of Aquitaine and his mother was Emma of Blois. His paternal grandparents were William I Count Of Poitou, Duke Of Aquitaine and Gerloc of Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Theobald I of Blois and Liutgarde de Vermandois. He had a half-brother named William III\V. He died in Maillezais.1 General Notes
