Louise's father was Fredrick Boland and her mother was Dollie Bickley. Her paternal grandparents were Abram Boland and Eva Christina Sease. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Uriah, George, Jim, Wesley, William, Sarah Ann, Henrietta and Catherine. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Joseph Wesley, William G., James C., Louisa F. and Christina Catherine.-
