Fayette Claiborne was born on June 22nd, 1824 in Lunenburg Co., Virginia. Fayette Claiborne's father was David Greenhill Williams and his mother was Mary Epes Poythress Doswell. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Roper Williams and Catherine Greenhill; his maternal grandparents were John Doswell and Mary Elizabeth Poythress Epes. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John David, Thomas Roper, Dandridge C., Peter E., Virginius R., Emily Greenhill, Arianna, Virginia F. and Mary C.. He died at the age of 50 on July 26th, 1874 in Nottoway Co., Virginia.-
