Henry Randolph was born on February 23rd, 1807.  Henry Randolph's father was George Washington Thornton and his mother was Mary Randolph.  His paternal grandparents were George Thornton and Mary Alexander; his maternal grandparents were Henry Randolph and Lucy Ward. He had a brother and two sisters, named Seth Brett, Lucy Ward and Mary Goode.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas Francis, James Woodville, James Woodville, Gilbert Lafayette, Catherine Mildred and Agnes Gray.  He died at the age of 55 on November 21st, 1862.
