Helen Jean was born on July 30th, 1921 in Detroit, MI. Helen Jean's father was James Chamberlain Sweeney and her mother was Helen Armstrong. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Cosgray Sweeney and Martha Tomasia Shields; her maternal grandparents were William Armstrong and Lillian Young. She had three brothers and a sister, named James Carington, Robert Stewart, John Armstrong and Ruth Beverly. She died at the age of 7 in 1928 in Detroit, MI.-
