Her paternal grandparents were David Shields and Nancy Watkins; her maternal grandparents were William Royal Bradley and Ellen Sarah Theodosia Carrington. She had a brother named Gamble Carey. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 84 on August 15th, 1944 in Jerome, Union Co., OH.-
