William R. Stanley 
William R. was born in January 1879. William R.'s father was Marcellus Stanley and his mother was Paulina Ann Margaret Edwards. His paternal grandparents were William R. Stanley and Sarah J. ?; his maternal grandparents were William T. Edwards and Lucinda M. Hall. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John Pettus, Samuel F., Abby Bell and Willie Maude. He was the oldest of the five children.-
