Pearl Janes was born in 1897 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., VA. Pearl Janes' father was George Wesley Stanley and her mother was Catherine Agnes Stanley. Her paternal grandparents were Richard James Stanley and Jane Frances Stanley; her maternal grandparents were Joshua Calvin Stanley and Ann Elizabeth Trainham. She had four brothers named Edward Walter, John Wesley, James Thomas and Ira Lee. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 73 in 1970.-
