Ira Lee was born on July 24th, 1890 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., VA. Ira Lee's father was George Wesley Stanley and his mother was Catherine Agnes Stanley. His paternal grandparents were Richard James Stanley and Jane Frances Stanley; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Calvin Stanley and Ann Elizabeth Trainham. He had three brothers and a sister, named Edward Walter, John Wesley, James Thomas and Pearl Janes. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 39 on April 12th, 1930 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., VA. He was buried on April 15th, 1930 in Montpelier, Hanover Co., VA.General Notes
