Jesse Stanley 
Jesse was born in 1800 in Hanover Co., VA. Jesse's father was James Crew Stanley and his mother was Mary Jones. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Sarah Crew. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Garland, James Crew, Nathaniel Jerrett, Littleberry, Lemuel, Gerard, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Sarah and Rhoda. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.-
