James Crew Stanley 
James Crew was born in 1792 in Hanover Co., VA. James Crew's father was James Crew Stanley and his mother was Mary Jones. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Sarah Crew. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Garland, Nathaniel Jerrett, Jesse, Littleberry, Lemuel, Gerard, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Sarah and Rhoda. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 51 in 1843.-
