William Pumphrey Snead

William Pumphrey was born about 1816.  William Pumphrey's father was William Pumphrey Snead and his mother was Lucinda Pollard.  His paternal grandparents were ? Snead and ?; his maternal grandparents were ? Pollard and ?. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Newton, Robert Pollard, Peyton Pollard, George Washington, Lewis Brown, Mary K., Elizabeth and Sallie Ann.  He was the oldest of the nine children.
