John Newton Snead

John Newton was born about 1818.  John Newton's father was William Pumphrey Snead and his mother was Lucinda Pollard.  His paternal grandparents were ? Snead and ?; his maternal grandparents were ? Pollard and ?. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William Pumphrey, Robert Pollard, Peyton Pollard, George Washington, Lewis Brown, Mary K., Elizabeth and Sallie Ann.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.
