William S. Shoemaker

William S. was born about 1822 in Virginia.¹   William S.'s father was Holman Shoemaker and his mother was Mary Woodrom.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Shoemaker and Frances Shephard. He had two brothers and a sister, named Macon, Fleming P. and Janette Pauline.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Virginia C. and Josephine.
