Carol Harrison was born on November 18th, 1922. Carol Harrison's father was Richard Brown Saunders and her mother was Caroline Kirkland Ruffin. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Archer Saunders and Martha Ann Brown; her maternal grandparents were John Augustine Ruffin and Jane Cary Harrison. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard Ruffin, Edmund Harrison and Martha Brown. She was the oldest of the four children.-
