Rupert Avery Ruffin

Rupert Avery was born in 1888. Rupert Avery's father was Henry James Ruffin and his mother was Winnie Virginia Jinks. His paternal grandparents were James Johnson Ruffin and Sarah Averett. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Elam C., George Tolliver, Allen Tilton, William Harrison, Willis Cleveland, James T., Claude R., Martha Elizabeth and Sallie L.. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 in 1964.
