Sarah I. was born in 1839. Sarah I.'s father was James Poor and her mother was Lavinia J. ?. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Poor and Elizabeth Mimms. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James E., William L., Dewitt C., Romulus S., Mary C., Laura L., Martha W. and Virginia S.. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
