Romulus S. was born in 1845. Romulus S.'s father was James Poor and his mother was Lavinia J. ?. His paternal grandparents were Robert Poor and Elizabeth Mimms. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James E., William L., Dewitt C., Mary C., Sarah I., Laura L., Martha W. and Virginia S.. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
