Josiah Alexander was born on August 7th, 1855. Josiah Alexander's father was Charles T. Pleasants and his mother was Mary Lightfoot Woodson. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Woodson and Dianne Michie. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Charles T., Samuel F., William Q., Blandina Homozelle, Lucy W. and Elizabet D.. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
