William Payne 
William was born on March 8th, 1782. William's father was William Payne and his mother was Mary Barrett. His paternal grandparents were Josias Payne and Anna Fleming; his maternal grandparents were James Barrett and Sarah Womack. He had two brothers and six sisters, named James, Barrett Goodson, Ann, Sarah, Susanna, Ann, Sarah and Elizabeth Barrett. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 on June 30th, 1858.General Notes
William's will, written 6/16/1854, probated 7/26/1858 recorded in Fluvanna County, VA Will Book 8, p.234 - names daughters Lucy M. Strange, Sarah E. Williams, sons William J., Barrett G. W., and Albert W. Payne.
