Louis Leake Payne 
Louis Leake was born on May 18th, 1911. Louis Leake's father was William Winston Payne and his mother was Mary Lee Jordan. His paternal grandparents were James Monroe Payne and Nancy Catherine Childress; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Spotswood Jordan and Lavinia Hughson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph Monroe, Marion Lee, Clarence, Raymond Winston, Lucille Mae and Grace Childress. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 85 on July 11th, 1996 in at home in Kent's Store, Goochland Co., VA. He was buried on July 14th, 1996 in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetary, Goochland Co., VA.1 -
