Clarence Payne

Clarence was born on February 12th, 1917. Clarence's father was William Winston Payne and his mother was Mary Lee Jordan. His paternal grandparents were James Monroe Payne and Nancy Catherine Childress; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Spotswood Jordan and Lavinia Hughson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph Monroe, Marion Lee, Louis Leake, Raymond Winston, Lucille Mae and Grace Childress. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
