John S. Payne 
John S.'s father was Samuel Spotswood Payne and his mother was Sarah C. Timberlake. His paternal grandparents were Barrett Goodson Payne and Lucy Ann Richardson; his maternal grandparents were Horace Timberlake and Catherine Holland. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Sally A., Lucy and Susan. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas Clark, Frank Mead, George Craven, Charles StClair, Cornelia Claiborne, Ann Carr and Sallie Lewis. He died in 1862.-
