John Daniel Payne 
John Daniel was born on November 17th, 1855 in Fluvanna Co., Virginia. John Daniel's father was William Daniel Payne and his mother was Nancy Catherine Bourne. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Joseph Payne and Theodosia Bybee; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Bourne and Susan Moss. He had a brother and three sisters, named James Spencer, Lucy Ella, Nannie Mildred and Molly Frances. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 84 on December 4th, 1939 in Fluvanna Co., Virginia.-
