John Barbie Minor 
John Barbie was born on May 24th, 1852 in Charlottesville, VA. John Barbie's father was Charles Minor and his mother was Lucy Walker Minor. His paternal grandparents were Lancelot Minor and Mary Overton Tompkins. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Charles, Lucien Grattan, Lancelot, Franklin, James Cabell, Mary Overton, Lucy Ridgeway, Patty, Louisa Noland, Kate, Ann McPherson and Elizabeth. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.-
