Ann McPherson was born on February 25th, 1854 in Charlottesville, VA. Ann McPherson's father was Charles Minor and her mother was Lucy Walker Minor. Her paternal grandparents were Lancelot Minor and Mary Overton Tompkins. She had six brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Lucien Grattan, Lancelot, John Barbie, Franklin, James Cabell, Mary Overton, Lucy Ridgeway, Patty, Louisa Noland, Kate and Elizabeth. She was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children.-
