Thomas was born in Louisa Co., VA. Thomas' father was David Meriwether and his mother was Anne Holmes. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Meriwether and Elizabeth Crawford; his maternal grandparents were George Holmes and Anne Reade. He had four brothers named Francis, Nicholas, James and William. He died in 1756 in "Fredericksville", Louisa Co., Virginia.-
