William Lipscomb 
William was born on February 12th, 1756 in Louisa Co., VA. William's father was William Lipscomb and his mother was Elizabeth Smith. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lipscomb and Sarah MackGehee; his maternal grandparents were David Smith and Elizabeth Ragland. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, David, John, Nathan, Smith, Mary and Ann Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 60 on June 3rd, 1816 in Spartanburg, SC.-
