John Lipscomb 
John was born about 1723. John's father was Thomas Lipscomb and his mother was Sarah MackGehee. His paternal grandparents were Joel Lipscomb and Mary ?; his maternal grandparents were Thomas MackGehee and Ann Baytop. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William, Thomas, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Susannah, Anna and Agnes. He was the oldest of the nine children.-
