William Penn Ladd 
William Penn was born on November 9th, 1812. William Penn's father was Thomas Ladd and his mother was Ann Bell. His paternal grandparents were Amos Ladd and Sarah Binford. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Mifflin, Rodman, James Monroe, Nathan Bell, Benjamin Franklin, Sebelia Ann and Sarah Bell. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
