Monroe Jones

Monroe was born on May 4th, 1861 in New Store, VA.  Monroe's father was Louis Dibrell LeGrand Jones and his mother was Louisa Thomas Flippen.  His paternal grandparents were William Jones and Judith LeGrande; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Daniel Flippen and Mary Page Hobson. He had ten brothers and four sisters, named Paul Marion, Louis Dibrell, Edgar, Clinton Hobson, Henry LeGrand, Menville, William Hatcher, Plummer Flippen, Maben Somerville, Ernest, Mary Louisa, Annie Page, Ethelyn LeGrande and Alice Maud.  He was the second oldest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 1 on June 28th, 1862.
