James Edward Jennings 
James Edward was born on April 1st, 1840 in Powhatan Co., Virginia. James Edward's father was Daniel Oscar Jennings and his mother was Susan Adeline Bowles. His paternal grandparents were John J. Jennings and Lucy Ann Duval; his maternal grandparents were Henry Bowles and Susan Fuqua. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John Henry, Parke, Joseph Sampson, Jack, Ruth, Bettie and Lucy Emily Duval. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 58 in 1898.-
