Sarah was born on July 11th, 1772. Sarah's father was William Smith Heale and her mother was Susanna Payne. Her paternal grandparents were George Heale and Sarah Smith; her maternal grandparents were Josias Payne and Anna Fleming. She had two brothers named John and William Payne. She was the oldest of the three children.-
