James Meriwether Haden 
James Meriwether was born in 1838 in Hadensville, Goochland Co., Virginia. James Meriwether's father was John Nelson Haden and his mother was Elizabeth Ann Woodson. His paternal grandparents were John Nelson Haden and Susanna Woodson Payne; his maternal grandparents were Booth Woodson and Nancy Pryor. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Albert Douglas, John Nelson, William, Samuel Hopkins, Susan Woodson, Nancy Pryor, Eliza, Polly and Patsy Meriwether. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 62 on February 14th, 1900 in Salisbury, Rowan Co., North Carolina.-
