John Ellyson 
John was born in 1806. John's father was Zachariah Ellyson and his mother was Mary Votaw. His paternal grandparents were Gideon Ellyson and Margery Stanley; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Votaw and Ann Hough Smith. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Isaac, Gideon, Zachariah, Robert, William, Joseph, Margery and Mary. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 70 in 1876.-
