Edward II of England 
Edward II of England was born on April 25th, 1284 in Caernarvon Castle, Wales. Edward II of England's father was Edward I Longshanks and his mother was Eleanor of Castile. His paternal grandparents were Henry III and Eleanor Berenger; his maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III of Castile and Johanna of Ponthieu. He had three brothers and twelve sisters, named John, Henry, Alfonso, Eleanor, Joan, Julian (Katherine), Joan of Acre, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth (Isabel), Beatrice, Blanche, Mary, Isabella and Alice. He had two half-brothers named Thomas and Edmund of Woodstock. He died at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1327 in Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, England. He was buried in Gloucester Cathedral.General Notes
Reigned 1307-1327 deposed and murdered. 1st Prince of Wales. His reign was
troubled by extravagances, his militarist disasters in Scotland notably at Bannockburn (1314) and unpopularity of his favorite peers Gaveston who died in 1312 and Hugh le Despencer (1262 - 1326). He was murdered by a red-hot poker in his bowels. Invested as the first English Prince of Wales in 1301.
