Indiana DuVal 
Indiana was born in 1828. Indiana's father was Francis DuVal and her mother was Elizabeth Smith Curtis. Her paternal grandfather was William Duval. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles Curtis, Charles Chichester, Christopher, John Robert, Ann Elizabeth, Lucy Maria and Virginia. She was the youngest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Francis, Mary and Elizabeth.-
