Mary Herbert was born in Surry Co., Virginia. Mary Herbert's father was Augustine Claiborne and her mother was Mary Herbert. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Claiborne and Ann Fox; her maternal grandparents were Muller Herbert and Mary Stith. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named Ferdinando, Richard Cook, Thomas, William Presley, Augustine, Bathurst, Buller, Herbert, John Herbert, Lucy Herbert, Susanna, Anne and Elizabeth. She died on July 25th, 1775 in Sussex Co., Virginia.-
