Thomas Henry Childress 
Thomas Henry was born on May 4th, 1840. Thomas Henry's father was Robert Minor Childress and his mother was Lucy Ann Overton Minor. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Childress and Ann Key Johnston; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Minor and Dorothea Pomfrett Johnston. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John Waller, Dabney Z., Dorothy Minor, Marie Emily, Sallie Richard, Lucy Ida, Dorothy Overton and Emma. He was the oldest of the nine children.-
