Marie Emily Childress 
Marie Emily was born in August 1848. Marie Emily's father was Robert Minor Childress and her mother was Lucy Ann Overton Minor. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Childress and Ann Key Johnston; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Minor and Dorothea Pomfrett Johnston. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Henry, John Waller, Dabney Z., Dorothy Minor, Sallie Richard, Lucy Ida, Dorothy Overton and Emma. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 44 on November 9th, 1892.-
