Willie Henry Carter 
Willie Henry was born on September 12th, 1905 in near Byrd Mill, Louisa Co., VA. Willie Henry's father was Herbert Joseph Madison Carter and his mother was Alice Virginia Marks. His paternal grandparents were Lewis M. Carter and Delilah Frances Butler; his maternal grandparents were Henry Solomon Marks and Sarah Ann Harlow. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Robert Hamilton, Oliver Hampton, Joseph M., Mason W., Leon Ernest, Alton Bennett, Etta Myrle and Virginia Grace. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died due to heart failure at the age of 83 on December 12th, 1988 in UVA Hospital, Charlottesville, VA. He was buried in Hillcrest Cemetary, Louisa, VA.-
