Hill Carter 
Hill was born in 1796. Hill's father was Robert Hill Carter and his mother was Mary Nelson. His paternal grandparents were Charles Carter and Anne Butler Moore; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Nelson and ?. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas Nelson, Anne Butler and Lucy. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 79 in 1875.-
