Susan was born on November 16th, 1772. Susan's father was Walter Carr and her mother was Elizabeth Childs. Her paternal grandfather was William Carr. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Thomas, William Chiles, Phebe, Nancy, Elizabeth and Hulda. She was the oldest of the eight children.-
