William Spenser Roan Brockenbrough 
William Spenser Roan was born in March 1819 in Hampton, VA. William Spenser Roan's father was William Brockenbrough and his mother was Judith Robinson White. His paternal grandparents were John Brockenbrough and Sarah Roane; his maternal grandparents were John White and Judith Braxton. He had a brother and four sisters, named John White, Sarah Jane, Elizabeth White, Mary Stephenson and Judith White. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 61 on December 2nd, 1880 in Westmoreland Co., VA.-
